Getting Started

Create an account, join a world, gather first materials, craft basic tools, and set up a safe return point.

All docs

1. Join a world

  • Sign in, open Worlds, and choose a world that is online.
  • Public worlds share the same core survival systems. Terrain, caves, roads, resources, and reset rules can differ by world.
  • Create a character after joining. Wait for the spawn area to load before moving far from spawn.

2. Read the spawn area

  • Most worlds start you near protected spawn roads or a town center.
  • Do not build on roads, inside protected structures, or against another player's base.
  • Use nearby signs, NPCs, and paths to learn local rules before you settle.

3. Make first tools

  • Gather tree trunks.
  • Open inventory with I.
  • Craft trunks into planks, then planks into sticks.
  • Craft a wooden pickaxe. Stone and ore require a pickaxe.
  • Mine stone, then upgrade to stone tools when you can.

4. Build a small base

  • Place torches so you can find the entrance at night.
  • Craft a chest for extra items.
  • Craft a furnace for cooking and smelting.
  • Keep food on the hotbar before leaving spawn or base.

5. Watch the HUD

  • HP is health.
  • EP is exertion for sprinting and repeated actions.
  • MP is mana for spells.
  • BP appears when breath matters, such as underwater.
  • If you die, you return to spawn and receive a message with the recent damage source.

6. Use quests and homes

  • Questmasters use a question mark when they have a quest to offer.
  • The character menu, opened with C, shows quest progress and rewards.
  • Use /sethome at a safe base when the world allows homes.
  • Use /home to return to home. Use /homes to list saved homes.
